A mountain ascent immersed in a Patagonian landscape; less physically demanding than its neighbors Osorno and Calbuco and very dynamic in its route: combining trekking with easy steps on rock, unique and contemplative views of the volcanoes, the Todo Los Santos Lake and the fields of Lake Llanquihue.
The route to be climbed allows a safe and entertaining ascent throughout the year. In winter and spring with snowy slopes, and already in summer and autumn on rock and volcanic carry. At the beginning, it goes through the upper part of the trek to the step of desolation, the pass that connects it with the Osorno volcano, and then continues along the edges that go into this ancient volcano and the beginning of the climb to its summit .
The whole day will have around 16 kilometers of travel and almost 900 meters of unevenness to overcome, the plan will be to leave from Puerto Varas at dawn, to be able to make the most of our time in the heart of the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park!
