During spring, summer, and autumn we need mountain bootsor trekking boots that fulfill three aspects:
- The sole should be as stiff as possible so that the crampons work efficiently and do not move when walking;
- also that they are waterproof since we will spend half of the trip in snowy terrain;
- and lastly, they must be high enough to completely cover the ankles so that when the slope is steeper, they facilitate progression and provide safety.
In winter, or when conditions are cold, you will need a good hiking boot that is not only waterproof, but also warm!
