At huellandina.com you can explore our expeditions and services in the"Regular Programs" tab, where you will find the services organized by categories:
Each section offers a list of programs with their name, location, duration and value, and from there you will be able to enter the page of each service where all the necessary information is detailed so you can know where you will go, what you will do, what to bring, and what we will provide. You will also find the calendar to make your reservation!
If you would like more information about the guides, you can find in the"About Us" section a short biography of each of the people who work at Huella Andina!
On each program's page we try to provide as many details as possible: such as duration, level of difficulty, equipment needed, meeting point, recommended dates, and what is included in the service (such as guides, transportation, meals, and technical equipment). We also describe the itinerary and route through a map that can be downloaded for use in navigation applications, and the option to make a check-list of what you should consider to participate in the program.
In the "Additional Information" tab of the program page you will find detailed information about the program, and any other information you may need you can send us a message through the chat bubble or an e-mail: https://huellandina.com/contacto/.
To book an excursion or ascent with Huella Andina:
It is important that when selecting the service you want you have clear the preferred starting date, and the number of people who will be part of the group. But also have at hand the full names of each person, passport or ID numbers, dates of birth, clothing and shoe sizes, insurance information, health declaration, among other personal information that must be entered in the reservation form.
You can also tell us about your previous experience in mountain activities, if you have other dates available in case we need to reschedule, and any special requirements you may have.
You will also need to have your debit or credit card in order to pay the reservation fee!
By default the booking of our programs is managed through the wetravel.com platform with payment by debit and credit cards. But we can also manage reservations by email for payment by bank transfer or cash. You can read in detail the payment methods in the following link: https://huellandina.com/medios-de-pago/
We offer flexibility in our cancellation policies and these are adjusted to the type of program you wish to make. Therefore, each program clearly details the dates and amounts that apply for cancellations. This information can be found in the tabs under the map on the service page.
For our mountain programs, in case of not being able to start the service due to bad weather conditions or the ascent/descent route, we will refund the total amount of the cancelled service.
Once we receive and confirm your reservation we will contact you by email. By this means we will keep you informed about everything that may affect your program, and we will be able to see the details, consultations, or requirements necessary to have everything ready for your program.
For ascents of 1 to 4 days we will also send you an email about 5 days before the start date. That is when the weather models allow us to have relatively reliable forecasts to make decisions such as confirming the start date, or see alternatives. It is also in that email that we will inform you about the current conditions of the route and all important details to influence the planning!
For each program we include a recommended list of personal equipment that varies according to the activity. Generally, it is necessary to bring appropriate mountain clothing, boots, a trekking backpack, waterproof coat, sun protection, and some personal items depending on the duration of the trip.
You can see this information in detail in the tabs under the map:"Additional Information" -> "Passenger Responsibility Equipment".
In addition, in the next tab, we have a check-list that you can make and that will come to us as a PDF file, with which we will have your information in our system to manage your reservation!
